On February 18 the Blanchardville Woman’s Club had a program entitled "Emergency Care for the Untrained Bystander" at the Blanchardville Public Library, for club and community members. Two members of the Blanchardville EMS, Cory DeSmet & Chip Hankley, came to conduct the program. They spoke about the importance of knowing how to do hands only CPR. They said the chances of survival increase when someone starts CPR right away. They also demonstrated how to do hands only CPR and those in attendance had an opportunity to practice. They also showed us how to use an AED. We appreciate Cory and Chip taking the time to talk to us about hands only CPR and how to use an AED.
